Consultation

Your consultation with Nichola allows you to discuss your concerns and create an individualised treatment plan. Nichola will assess your skin and provide honest advice on whether Profhilo® is the right treatment for you.

Appointment

Profhilo® is injected just beneath the skin’s surface, forming small bumps that naturally disperse within 24 hours as the product integrates into the skin.
For facial rejuvenation, Nichola uses the Bio-Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique, considered the most effective approach, involving five injection points on each side of the lower face.

The procedure takes around 10 minutes, with only mild discomfort.
Small bumps may be visible after treatment and typically resolve within 24 hours.

Treatment plan

Profhilo® works best with an initial 2- 3 treatments spaced approx. 1 month apart then 4-6 monthly top-ups as maintenance. 

You are likely to see improvements after the first treatment and best results are 3-4 weeks after your second treatment.

Profhilo® & Profhilo® Body Aftercare Advice

  • Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching, rubbing, or applying makeup for the first 12 hours. This reduces the risk of irritation or infection and allows the product to settle properly beneath the skin.

  • Refrain from saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours. Heat can increase swelling and may cause the product to disperse unevenly in the early stages.

  • Drink plenty of water following your treatment. Profhilo® works by attracting moisture within the skin, so staying hydrated enhances both the effectiveness and longevity of your results.

  • Alcohol can increase the risk of bruising and dehydration. Avoid drinking for 24 hours before and after your session to support optimal healing.

  • Avoid facial massages, sleeping on your face, or using tight-fitting masks for at least 24 hours. Pressure may disrupt the placement of the product while it is integrating into the skin.

  • It is normal to see small bumps at the injection points. These typically settle within 24 hours as the hyaluronic acid absorbs into the tissue. Avoid picking or pressing them.

  • Medications like ibuprofen or aspirin can increase bruising. Only take them if medically necessary or advised by your practitioner.
