Polynucleotides – Plinest® Eyes & Plinest® Face

What is Polynucleotides – Plinest® Eyes & Plinest® Face?

Polynucleotides have been used in medicine since the 1970s to treat burns and support wound healing. More recently, they have become an exciting development in aesthetic medicine for skin regeneration and rejuvenation.

The polynucleotides used in these treatments are derived from highly purified, sterilised fish DNA. When injected into the skin, they help stimulate cell repair and regeneration, improving hydration, reducing inflammation, and encouraging fibroblast activity – the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. The result is healthier, firmer, brighter, and more radiant-looking skin.

As a registered nurse and independent prescriber, Nichola is fully qualified to assess your suitability, prescribe, and safely administer these treatments using advanced techniques tailored to your needs.

Polynucleotides – Plinest® Eyes & Plinest® Face Procedure:

Consultation

Your treatment begins with a thorough consultation with Nichola, where you can discuss your concerns and desired outcomes. Nichola will carefully assess the treatment area—whether under the eyes or the face—and advise honestly on suitability. As a registered nurse and independent prescriber, she will create an individualised plan tailored specifically to your needs.

Appointment

Before treatment begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. This is especially helpful for polynucleotide treatments, as they can cause a mild stinging sensation when injected.

Nichola will then deliver the product using precise microinjections with ultra-fine Nanosoft needles, or a cannula where appropriate. These techniques allow the product to be placed accurately either:

  • Under and around the eyes (Plinest® Eyes), or

  • Across areas of the face requiring regeneration (Plinest® Face).

Because the needles are extremely fine, the risk of bruising or bleeding is low, and most clients find the procedure very well tolerated.

Treatment plan

We will then discuss a personalised treatment plan. Most clients require an initial course of three treatments, spaced 2–3 weeks apart, to achieve optimal regeneration and long-lasting results.
Maintenance sessions are recommended every 4–6 months (or around every 6 months for the under-eye area), with results typically lasting 6–9 months depending on individual skin quality and lifestyle.
